According to United States War Dogs Association, military dogs have been used by the United States since World War I. They estimated that more than 4,000 dogs served in Vietnam, and that these heroic dogs saved more than 10,000 American human lives.
Only 204 dogs left Vietnam during the 10-year period. Some remained in the Pacific, and some returned to the United States. None returned to civilian life.
So what happened to the dogs that remained? Most where euthanized........
It is hard to understand that those wonderful dogs were left behind like garbage..
This is a tribute to them !!
